Cloud Mode

When connected to the cloud, the keypad integrates with the cloud portal and Opyn mobile app, giving administrators the ability to manage and configure access remotely.

Users can be added, firmware can be updated and access logs can be monitored without needing to be physically at the keypad.

For property managers, landlords and businesses managing multiple users or locations, this can make day-to-day access management considerably more convenient.

Standalone Mode

Not every installation requires cloud connectivity.

The Opyn Keypad can also operate in Standalone Mode, allowing the unit to be configured and programmed physically at the keypad without a network connection.

This gives installers another option when a simple, local access control solution is more appropriate.

Modern buildings often need to provide access to people who shouldn't have permanent credentials.

A visitor may need access for an afternoon. A contractor may need access for a specific period. A delivery driver may require temporary entry without being given a permanent PIN or credential.

The Opyn Keypad supports secure QR codes and credentials with time and usage limits, making temporary access easier to manage. It can support up to 10,000 QR or credential records.

This makes the system particularly useful for applications such as rental properties, Airbnb accommodation, offices and managed buildings.

Built for the real world

Access control equipment doesn't always get an easy life. Outdoor installations need to cope with changing weather, accidental impact and attempts at tampering.

The Opyn Keypad features an IP65-rated housing and IK08 impact rating, with an aluminium and toughened-glass construction. It is designed to operate between -30°C and +65°C and includes a built-in tamper alarm.

Its compact dimensions of approximately 140 × 51 × 28 mm also allow it to sit neatly on the wall without becoming an oversized addition to an entrance.

Designed with installers in mind

Flexibility doesn't stop at the way users gain access.

The Opyn Keypad supports PoE, 12V DC or 48V PoE, Wiegand connectivity and can operate as either a reader or controller. It uses a straightforward surface-mount installation and provides RJ45 and relay connections.

The result is a device that can adapt to different installation requirements rather than forcing every project into the same configuration.

Built for growing access requirements

The Opyn Keypad supports up to 100,000 users, with up to 10,000 QR codes and keypad/proximity records with time and usage limitations. It also provides scheduling capabilities, 30 days of logs and OTA or local firmware updates.
